Black Daddies Club presents; SUNDAY BRUNCH: BIPOC THERAPY CONNECT

SUNDAY BRUNCH: BIPOC THERAPY CONNECT

As part of Black Daddies Club’s 20th Anniversary, we’re creating space for Black, Indigenous, and Racialized therapists, counsellors, healers, and mental health practitioners to connect, learn, share, and build community.

Sunday Brunch will focus on:

• Building meaningful professional relationships, referrals, and peer support
• Sharing culturally responsive and decolonizing practices
• Professional, practice, and workforce development
• Honest conversations about the experiences of BIPOC practitioners in Canada

2027 SERIES

Four in-person gatherings in Toronto:

March | June | September | December

We’ll also explore smaller virtual “small fire” conversations throughout the year for deeper dialogue, peer connection, and continued learning.

Sunday Brunch is about building an ongoing community of practice and connection, not simply hosting events.

The series will also help inform the development of The Revelry Group, an emerging national network of BIPOC therapists, counsellors, healers, and mental health practitioners focused on connection, referrals, collaboration, and workforce development.

Who is it for?

Our primary audience is Black, Indigenous, and Racialized practitioners. Non-BIPOC practitioners who work with BIPOC communities and want to deepen their culturally responsive practice are also welcome.

Black Daddies Club 20th Anniversary: Help Shape Our 2026–2027 Conversations

Greetings and Salutations,

In November 2026, Black Daddies Club celebrates 20 years of community, connection, conversation, and love.

As we plan our upcoming Sunday Dinners and 2027 programming, we want to hear from you about the conversations you would like to see us explore.

We are currently considering two conversation series:

  • Conversations About Non-Monogamy & Transparency
A four-part reading and conversation series exploring relationships, intimacy, communication, honesty, boundaries, and non-monogamous relationships, inspired in part by the book The Ethical Slut: A Guide to Infinite Sexual Possibilities.
  • Scripting Black Masculinities & Love
A four-part conversation and reading series inspired by bell hooks’ All About Love, exploring Black masculinity, vulnerability, intimacy, relationships, and our understanding of love.

We’d love your input on which conversations interest you, who should be in the room, what format works best, and what would make you want to participate.

Please take 3–5 minutes to complete our survey:

Your voice will help shape what comes next.

Thank you for being part of the Black Daddies Club journey.
