Black Daddies Club presents FISH FRY BBQ – August 11, 2018
Presented by The Black Daddies Club: Fish Fry BBQ (big people edition: 19 and older event) will take place at Black Creek Farm in Toronto, located at 4929 Jane St (just south of Steeles Ave) on August 11, 2018..
The purpose of the event is to create a space where people can lime (relax) and do some informal networking in an outdoor setting with a beautiful backdrop in Black Creek Farm. With the brazen violence taking place in the city or Toronto so far this summer, Black Daddies Club felt that creating a space for sharing, healing and exchanging love to each other was necessary during this time.
The event will take place from 4pm to 2am on August 11, 2018. The evening will consist of liming with some music from Soca, Reggae and Afrobeats in an outdoor setting.
5pm to 6:30pm (Fish Soup Reasonings)
6:30pm to 7pm (Networking)
7pm to 2am (Liming and Music) – Music provided by: Selecta SpiceyGad
What is Fish Soup Reasoning?: The event will feature conversations (or fish soup reasonings) under the themes of “What does Liberated Black Love look like in 2018?” and “What Strategies are there for Healing for the Black Community?” This discussion will take place at the beginning of the event. These discussions will be 30 minutes in length, and we are asking people to come with questions or comments that they would like to share during the reasoning session.
Admission is $10, receive a complimentary drink when they arrive before 7pm. This event will be a cash bar and food will available for purchase at the event.
